Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Tech Trek Academy Cohort 1.

Do I need coding experience?
No. Zero experience required. If you can use a computer and you're motivated, you're ready.
How much time does it take per week?
Plan for 10–12 hours: 3 hrs live sessions, 1 hr office hours, 4–6 hrs building, 1–2 hrs community.
What if I fall behind?
Reach out. We have a minimum viable milestone for every week, and all sessions are recorded.
What do I actually leave with?
A deployed app with a public URL, a GitHub portfolio, a 5-minute demo you've presented live, and an updated LinkedIn.
Is this a bootcamp?
No. It's an 8-week builder cohort. We're not training you for job interviews. We're teaching you to ship software and feel confident doing it.
What AI tools will I use?
You'll use Cursor (an AI-powered code editor) and ChatGPT throughout the program. You'll learn to use AI the way professionals do — to go faster, not to replace thinking.
What if I don't like it?
See the refund policy in your enrollment agreement.
What's the refund policy?
Refer to your enrollment agreement for full refund terms and conditions.
Will sessions be recorded?
Yes. Replays are posted within 24 hours of each live session.
Do I need a Mac?
No. Windows and Mac both work. You need a computer with a modern browser and the ability to install free software.
What happens after the cohort?
You keep access to the alumni Discord, 30-day post-grad office hours, and a network of builders who ship alongside you.
Can I work full time and do this?
Yes. Tech Trek Academy is designed for working adults. Plan for 10–12 hrs/week, mostly evenings and weekends.
What makes this different from Udemy or a YouTube playlist?
You ship every week. You have accountability. You have a real deadline and a real audience on Demo Day.
